Biography: |
I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan where besides traveling I taught high-school Spanish for six years. I moved to the Denver area in the summer of 2000 since I always felt like I belonged in the West. Now I am married to a wonderful woman who is very patient as I pursue my obsession (especially the early mornings).
All of the images you see have been photographed with Nikon 35mm equipment, Pentax medium format equipment,and professional Fuji Velvia film. I am a photo-realist, so you can be sure that what you see is what I saw - I do not use a digital camera or color filters. All of my photographs are matted and framed with acid-free materials so they will retain optimal color and quality for a lifetime.
When I am on location photographing a mountain or a stream, I can not help but feel small. I am just an observer fortunate enough to watch light unfold in God's vast and beautiful creation. Only the Lord should get credit for the images that I have captured - I just recorded the brief moment on film.
