Biography: |
Bill studied art at the University of Arizona and at Northern Arizona University. Choosing not to pursue a career in art he spent 25 years on the West Coast working at various jobs ending with a landscape design and installation business in the San Jose area.
Leaving the stress of California in 1992, He moved back to Arizona where he was inspired by the beauty of the open landscape while being stimulated by the vibrant artists’ community of Northern Arizona. First pursuing lapidary work, he then discovered the artistic potential of the gourd.
His work may be seen at the Lanning Gallery at Hozho Center in Sedona Arizona; Pine Artisans’ Gallery in Pine Arizona; Spindrift Gallery in Gualala California (on the Mendocino Coast). He also has exhibited at numerous fine art shows around the country, winning various awards and receiving favorable commentary in the press. His work may also be found in many private collections.
